Something along these words, is what my roommate told me as I was debating between whether I should start wearing my new pair of boots or not. It’s this that pushed me with assurance.

Can totally apply this to other scenarios in life.

Mastery of material requires first deep understanding.

I feel as if I’m starting to get a grasp as to what and how habits can meld into and become a part of a routine. As long as I continuously try to get myself to time manage, or accept the painful experience of failure and learn from it, I can grow more.

Growing:

- Forming new positive habits and slowly discarding the negative ones.

- With friends graduating this year, I feel like I would really need to start anew and meet more friends that I can open up to when I’m in a need to discuss or just have someone there listen to my rants/complaints, which I would also aim to lessen over time, as one of new years resolution. Brings me to the point of really opening up.

- Really sometimes the complaints that I make are things that arise from the fact that I do not actively resolve. So another point would be to set priorities and get the important big stuff out of the way.

So yesterday, I went out with friends instead of taking what I had hoped as an afternoon nap.

I tried out Penny’s ice cream for the first time, their flavors weren’t as I had expected them to be, I thought it was going to be creamy or light, but it was neither. I sampled I think five flavors, which I think the server was starting to get annoyed at me for not being able to make a choice, so I just ended up with a very classic flavor: vanilla bean, the adjective in front of it was Tahitian, but I couldn’t tell if it’s any different from other vanilla bean flavors. Most likely due to me overwhelming my taste buds with the other flavors of chocolate sorbet (which was rich, good for a lighter day but not yesterday, since the weather was humid, which I comparably didn’t want to add onto with the richness if that makes any sense), lemon sorbet, toffee, and some kind of berry flavor that I do not remember how to pronounce or spell.

Adding to the arsenal of sampling ice cream, my friend and I tried out this bite sized piece of turkey sandwich at Trader Joes, it was delish. There really is something about being served rather than making it yourself.

Then we headed to CVS, where I bumped into a homeless, but he didn’t seem to notice, which was good I guess. Sometimes they aren’t as scary as they seem to be.

On an impulsive decision, my friends and I head to a record store while waiting for the bus. It was a non-regrettable decision, the store was filled with cds, old and new of artists, they even had the soundtrack to Lion King! and there was a section where they had dvds. I now know where to go if I want to browse for some new songs or movies without staring at a screen, which is what most people do nowadays, want to give old-school a chance too.

is what I told a friend/acquaintance, and I think it is time that I need to create more opportunities to apply my advice in my own life.

Today I attended a MSI section for the first time, it was not as intimidating as I thought it would be. My presumption was that there would be guys from my macroecon class. I fought the urge to turn back because I needed some clarifications regarding some material which is most likely going to be tested on the midterm tomorrow. I opened the door, and asked the first person I saw, an Asian guy, tons of questions, probably added a bit of stress to him, but glad I did, because now have resources to go through while studying.

I secretly admire them for their knowledge of economics and the current issues/events relating to the material from our class. Though they may be show-offy from other people’s perspectives, I feel that they are humble to share their knowledge, and makes the material much more interesting.

To more firsts, and overcoming feeling inferior to people such as the guys in my econ class. Hoping to be more informed after this class.
